SYMPTOM:
When users try to create a file subscription with a long physical address path, the subscription is not sent in Strategy 9.x. With email delivery notification enabled, a "Transmission to primary location failed" error is seen:
Error message: Transmission to primary location failed. Invalid directory: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Backup location is not enabled.
or
Error message: Transmission to primary location failed. The length of full file path 'xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx' is over limit '255'. Backup location is not enabled.
CAUSE:
The maximum character length of the "Physical Address" path (including the report name) is 255 characters. Any file path beyond this limit will not work. Additionally, the "Address Name" path has a limit of 50 characters.
ACTION:
Decrease the length of the file path to be less than 255 characters minus the number of characters in the report name.
