KB42898: Attribute header disappears from the report grid when checking the "Remove Extra Column" option and then moving a metric object to the Page-by Axis in MicroStrategy Web 9.x.

SYMPTOM
Checking the Remove Extra Column report option and then moving a metric object to the Page-by Axis in Strategy Web 9.x causes the attribute header to disappear as below:
 
1. Before enabling the Remove Extra Column report option:

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. On Web, log on to the Strategy Tutorial project.
2. Create a report with Region attribute and Revenue metric in the rows, and Year attribute in the columns.
3. Under menu Tools > Report Options, select Remove Extra Column as below:
 

4. Pivot the Revenue metric to the Page-by axis and notice that the Year attribute header disappears.
 
 
CAUSE
This is an identified defefect in Strategy Web 9.x.
 
 
ACTION
This issue was reviewed by our Technology team for feasibility and will not be scoped for a code fix in any upcoming Strategy release.
