KB429068: When user attempts to execute System Manager workflow through Command Manager encounters error "Feedback: Unable to locate the launcher for the process (type: 'CMDMGR') in Linux

Community Admin

• Strategy

SUMMARY:
In a Strategy environment in Linux when users attempt to execute a System Manager workflow that involves Command Manager and the command is run, they will received the error:

FEEDBACK: Unable to locate the launcher for the process 'Trigger Caches' (type: 'CMDMGR').
Exit code:-4242424
Exit result:Failure

CAUSE:
This is a known error in Strategy that is working as designed. In a Linux environment when users attempt to create their own Strategy directories (simple copy-paste of folders) for the installation and program files, the paths for the Strategy configuration file and dependencies are not mapped correctly caused from faulty installation.
The incorrect mapping of configuration files and dependencies will cause sub-components of Strategy such as System Manager and Command Manager to not properly locate one another during the processes that call on other subcomponents.

ACTION:
Run a complete uninstallation and reinstallation of Strategy in Linux through the GUI installation or Strategy Installation Wizard; running a proper installation will ensure correct mapping for all the components which come installed with Strategy.
