The error message "Error running assess:C:\Program Files (x86)\MicroStrategy\MDDoctor\MDDoctor.log does not exist" appears when running the Desktop Log Collector in MicroStrategy Health Center 9.3.0

When running the Desktop Log Collector in Strategy Health Center 9.3.0, the following error message appears:

ka04W000000OfjLQAS_0EM4400000029cN.png

CAUSE:
This is because the Health Center Log Collection process is trying to collect the MDDoctor.log file and it is not there. This can be caused by two reasons:

  • Users manually changed the log file name.
  • MDDoctor was installed on the machine, then uninstalled later and the remainining log file was manually deleted

An issue is logged with Strategy Technology for the second reason since the Health Center Log Collection process should not collect the MDDoctor.log file if MDDoctor is not installed on the machine.

ACTION:

For the first reason, users need to manually change the log file name back to MDDoctor.log.
For the second reason, contact Strategy Technical Support for an update.
