Network Widget legend shows "NaN-NaN" for thresholds with "Equals" operator in qualification in a dashboard in Flash mode in MicroStrategy Web.

SYMPTOM:

Network Widget legend shows "NaN-NaN" for thresholds with "Equals" operator in qualification in a dashboard in flash mode in Strategy Web 9.3.0.

The following steps demonstrate how to reproduce this issue in Strategy Tutorial project:

  1. Create a report with Year, Quarter, Month in rows and Cost, Sales Rank and Revenue in columns.
  2. Create a dashboard with this report as dataset. Insert the grid into the dashboard and set it as Network Widget. Add thresholds to make the dashboard display as shown below in Interactive mode:

CAUSE:

This is a known issue in Strategy Web 9.3.0.

ACTION:

The issue was fixed in Strategy 9.3.1 Hotfix 4 and above

WORKAROUND:

If "Greater than or equal to" is equivalent to "Equals" in the scenario, use "Greater than or equal to" instead. This can make legend show correct value range as shown below:

  • Execute the dashboard in Flash mode. Edge Color legend shows "NaN-NaN" for the threshold with "Equals" operator in qualification as shown below:
