SYMPTOM:

When using the Strategy Connectivity Wizard 9.3.1 test connection option against a Hive data source, the following error may be encountered:

ka04W000000Oh2xQAC_0EM440000002JE3.jpeg

CAUSE:

This is a known issue with Strategy Connectivity Wizard 9.3.1.

ACTION:

The issue has been addressed in  Strategy Connectivity Wizard 10.0.0.

WORKAROUND:

The error message is actually somewhat misleading. The direct cause is that the connectivity wizard does not prompt for credentials against the Hive platform by design, thus the error is thrown. Specifying any unintelligible characters however in other tools such as the Strategy DB Query tool will allow the connection to succeed without the error.
