"Error occurred when submitting report to Web Services for execution" error message appears when running a document in MicroStrategy Office 9.x.

SYMPTOM:
When the user attempts to run a document in Strategy Office 9.x the following error message is thrown after the execution has completed:

Error occurred when submitting report to Web Services for execution

 
CAUSE:
One possible cause for this issue is that the user account or user group is missing the privilege that allows them to execute documents and analysis in Strategy Office 9.x..
 
ACTION:

  1. Open the User Manager in Strategy Desktop.
  2. Edit the User Account or User Group > Project Access.
  3. Grant the privilege under 5. Common Privileges > "Execute analysis or document".
