"You do not have enough permissions on some common system objects..." error message appears when users try to create attributes in MicroStrategy Developer 9.x and 10.x

You do not have enough permissions on some common system object. These permissions are needed to create a schema object. Please ask your administrator to grant you the right permissions.

CAUSE:

The user may not have the correct privileges to use the attribute editor. The "Use Architect editors" privilege is necessary to open the attribute editor in Developer in Strategy 9.x and 10.x. This privilege is found within the Architect privilege, which consumes an Architect license. Even users with all of the administrator privileges cannot access the attribute editor without the "Use Architect editors" privilege.

ACTION:

Enable the "Use Architect editors" privilege for any users that need to create attributes.
