KB43297: File Download dialog box does not appear when exporting a report from MicroStrategy Web in Windows 7

Symptom

When exporting a report from Strategy Web, the 'File Download' dialog box does not appear in Windows 7.
 
 
 

Action 

To enable the File Download dialog box, follow steps below in Windows 7 to edit registry: 

• Click Start button, search for "regedit" to open registry editor.
  
• Expand to the following folder:
  HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\AttachmentExecute\{0002DF01-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}
  
• Delete Excel related key, as shown below:
