This KB article explains how to solve an error that may be faced when configuring new projects in MicroStrategy Mobile

SYMPTOM:
In Strategy Mobile 9.4.x-10.x, when clicking on "Configure New Project" in the Mobile Configuration Connectivity Settings page, the following error appears:

Strategy Web Request Timeout

CAUSE:
The action of configuring a new project triggers a network lookup call to verify that the information configured above, in the Strategy Mobile Server section, resolves correctly to a valid Strategy Mobile server in order to check the Strategy Intelligence Servers that are connected to it and retrieve the list of projects. When the information provided there does not resolve correctly through a simple network call to a valid Strategy Mobile Server, the call times out and throws the error message.
However, even if the information is correct, one possible cause for this error is that the Request Type specified in the Mobile Configuration is set as HTTPS, when the browser is accessing the Strategy Mobile Administration page using an HTTP protocol instead.

ACTION:
Change the protocol in the browser's URL to HTTPS and reload the Strategy Mobile 9.4.x-10.x Administration page.

Now it is possible to Configure New Project without getting the Request Timeout.
