SYMPTOM:
A Web Analyst user with the privilege "Web add/remove units to/from grid in document in view mode" should be able to perform both actions, add or remove objects from a grid in a Report Services Document in Strategy Web 9.3.0. However, unless the "Web modify the list of report objects (use object browser -- all objects)" privilege under Web Professional is enabled as well, they can only remove objects but not add. In addition to this, removing attributes is only available when using the right click context menu > Remove, and not by dragging and dropping.
CAUSE:
This is a known issue in Strategy Web 9.3.0 where dragging and dropping attributes into a grid, whether adding or removing, has been incorrectly tied to the "Web modify the list of report objects (use object browser -- all objects)" privilege.
ACTION:
This issue has been addressed in Strategy Web 9.4.0. Upgrade to this version to take advantage of this fix.
WORKAROUND:
If possible, enable the "Web modify the list of report objects (use object browser -- all objects)" privilege in addition to the "Web add/remove units to/from grid in document in view mode" privilege.
