KB43722: Personal View documents set with a default run mode of Express mode or any export mode will always open in Interactive mode in MicroStrategy Web 9.4.1.

SYMPTOM:
In Strategy Web 9.4.1, documents that have a personal views type of subscription and a default run mode of Express mode or any Export mode will actually default to run in Interactive mode instead. 
 
Note: Editable and Flash modes work as expected. 
 
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

• Run a document that has a default run mode of Express mode, like shown below.
  

• Go to Home > Create personal view.
  
• Create the personal view.
  
• Access the My Subscriptions page.
  
• Run the newly created view of the report.
  
• Notice that the document opens in Interactive view instead of Express mode.
  

CAUSE:
This is a known issue in Strategy Web 9.4.1 concerning Personal Views and Express mode and all export modes.
 
ACTION:
This issue has been addressed in Strategy Web 10.x. Upgrade to take advantage of the fix.
