KB43771: "WARNING: Korn Shell Version AJM 93t+ 2010-02-02" warning message faced when installing MicroStrategy 9.3.1 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.6 64-bit

  
SYMPTOM:
During the installation of Strategy 9.3.1 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.6 64-bit, the following warning message is displayed:
WARNING: Korn-Shell Version AJM 93t+ 2010-02-02.
Setup has detected that the version of the command "/bin/ksh" on this system is not supported by
Strategy. To support Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.5 and 5.6, you must install
pdksh-5.2.14-36.el5.x86_64.rpm, which is available on the Red Hat Enterprise Linux install media. For steps to
install the pdksh package, refer to your third-party Red Hat Enterprise Linux documentation.
 
After installing the required package and running the installer of Strategy 9.3.1, the same warning message still appears.
 
 
CAUSE:
Even though the required package has been installed, the Korn Shell version in force is still the same, as notice when running the command ksh --version:

ACTION:
In this case, switch the Korn Shell version manually before proceeding with the installation process.
