KB43772: The Color “No Fill” setting of Grid Container and All Grid Cells is changed to white automatically when locking Row/Column Header in MicroStrategy Web 9.3.1.

SYMPTOM:
 
The “No Fill” setting on Color of Grid Container and All Grid Cells is changed to white automatically when locking Row/Column Header in Strategy Web 9.3.1.
 
STEP TO REPRODUCE:
 
Follow the steps below to reproduce the issue in the Strategy Tutorial project:
 

• Create a Grid Dashboard with “Supplier Sales Report”.
• Set “No Fill” for the Grid Container and All Grid Cells as shown in the image below:
   
  

• Lock Row/Column Header then background color of the Row/Column Header is changed to white on Interactive and Editable mode as shown in the image below:

  Note: it works well in Express and Flash mode as shown in the image below:
   
   
  

 
CAUSE:
 
This is a known issue with Strategy Web 9.3.1
 
ACTION:
 
Please upgrade to Strategy version 10.x to take advantage of the fix.
 
WORKAROUND:
 
Set a color instead of using the “No Fill” option.
