This article explains how to deal with the error during exporting a report to Excel or PDF on Internet Explorer 8 or 9

SYMPTOM:
Users connect to Strategy Web Server with Internet Explorer 8 or 9 with HTTPS protocol, run a report and export it to Excel or PDF.  The file is generated properly but when displaying it or trying to save it, the following error appears:

Internet Explorer cannot open this internet site. The requested site is unavailable or cannot be found. Try again later"

Following the same procedure using another certified browser like Firefox works properly.

Internet Explorer options are not set correctly.

ACTION:

  • Launch Internet Explorer.
  • Select the Tools from the menu bar.
  • Then select Internet Options... from the drop down menu.
  • Once the Internet Options has loaded click on the Advanced tab.
  • Under Security find setting "Do not save encrypted pages to disk" and check it.
  • Click OK
