• Strategy

This knowledge base article explains that HTTP response headers attached by IIS that contain information about server, Asp.Net version and the framework can be safely disabled.

Description

When deploying Strategy Web ASP on Microsoft IIS 7.x an additional set of HTTP header information is returned to the client machine within the HTTP response header. This information usually contains information about server, Asp.Net version and the framework used.

The following screen shot shows HTTP response header information from an IIS 7.5 environment through Fiddler:

Cause

This header information is send by default by IIS and, if required, can be disabled within IIS. Strategy Web does not require this information to function properly.

Action

Please refer to the Web Server vendor documentation for steps on how to set default response header information.
