New Web feature - Add buttons to dashboards to facilitate different actions and boost visual appeal in MicroStrategy Web 9.3.1.

SYMPTOM
New feature was introduced that allows users to add buttons to dashboards in Strategy Web 9.3.1. A button allows a user to perform various actions by clicking, or tapping on it in Mobile. Each button can be configured differently and can achieve different actions.
 
CONFIGURATION
Each button contains the following different configurations that a user can pick from, depending on the visual requirements for that button:

  1. Arrangement - the button can consist of both - an icon and a caption, or just one of them.
    • Caption Only
    • Icon Only
    • Icon to the left of caption
    • Icon to the right of caption
    • Icon on top of caption
  2. Image
    • Normal State Source - when the mouse cursor is not inside the button frame
    • Highlight State Source - the image the will be displayed when the mouse cursor is inside the button frame

ACTIONS
Buttons allow the following actions:

  1. Execute Documents
  2. Execute Reports
  3. Link to external URLs
  4. Pass prompt answers through to documents or reports
  5. Pass selector values to targeted document
  6. Navigate to different screens (Mobile Only)
