KB439117: Dossier chapter names are shown wrong in MicroStrategy Web 10.9

This Knowledge Base article describes a known issue in MicroStrategy Web 10.9 and includes a workaround. The issue has been solved in version 10.10.

Starting with the release of Strategy ONE (March 2024), dossiers are also known as dashboards.
SYMPTOM:
In Strategy Web 10.9, when creating a new Dossier, if the user renames chapters and pages, the names of the chapters will mismatch inside the Visualization.
 
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    

  • Click on New Dossier

  • Insert two Chapters and two Pages

  • Rename them

  • Switch to Tab View - Top

  • The tabs names show Chapter 11 instead of Chapter 1 and Chapter 22 instead of Chapter 2

CAUSE:
This is an identified defect in version Strategy Web 10.9.
ACTION:
This issue has been addressed in version 10.10. Upgrade to this version to take advantage of this fix.
WORKAROUND:
A viable workaround consists of renaming the mismatching Chapters names.
