SYMPTOM
When attempting to run a report or document whose data source makes use of warehouse pass-through authentication using Kerberos, the report or document execution might fail with an error relating to failure to connect to the database, or failure to execute SQL, or might execute successfully but display data for the wrong warehouse user. The exact behavior will depend on several factors such as what account the Intelligence Server is running under, and whether that account has access to execute queries on the database.
CAUSE
Due to a known defect in Strategy 10.x, if the advanced LDAP option "Synchronize user/group information with LDAP during Windows authentication" option is enabled, the end user's Kerberos credentials are not passed to the database when using warehouse pass-through.
ACTION
This issue has been resolved in Strategy 10.9 and 10.4 Hotfix 5. Upgrade to the latest platform release or feature release version to take advantage of the fix.
WORKAROUND
Disable the "Synchronize user/group information with LDAP during Windows authentication" option when using warehouse pass-through authentication with Kerberos.
