This article provides troubleshooting steps to resolve data import process hang issue in MicroStrategy 10.1

SYMPTOM
After upgrade to Strategy 10.1 the data import process hangs for a selected document. The following behavior can be observed:

When checking in Developer, Job status appears as Executing:

The following errors can be found in DSSErrors.log:
 


[HOST:<hostname>][PID:<number>][THR:<number>][Database Classes][Error] Connection Limit for required and lower priorities reached. Will retry in 5 seconds.

[HOST:<hostname>][PID:<number>][THR:<number>][Database Classes][Error] Failed to get a connection for specified DBRole 819E2B79A8E7403CB5B89BF69ABC1E9A and priority 999.

ACTION
Restart Intelligence Server to resolve the issue.
