How to enable totals and subtotals for a report in MicroStrategy Developer

In Strategy Developer, totals and subtotals can be configured from the Report or Template Editors.

To enable totals and subtotals for a specific report, follow the steps below:

  • Right-click on the report and select 'Edit'.
  • Select Data > Subtotals.
  • The following 'Subtotals' window appears, displaying the types of totaling available for the report:

NOTE: Selecting 'Grand Total' displays a single total; if 'All Subtotals' is selected, the report displays a grand total, plus the subtotals for each attribute displayed.

  • Users can also select where to display the totals from the 'Display Options' tab in the 'Subtotals' window.
