This Knowledge Base article describes how when setting a scheduled report cache to never expire the setting is lost when the schedule is deleted.

SYMPTOM
When setting a report cache to never expire on the report level, the setting is lost when deleting the schedule it is reliant on.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create a new Subscription
2. Create a new report
3. Under data->Report Caching options select Do not expire and to invalidate cache on the new test schedule.
4. Delete the test schedule.
ACTION
This issue has been determined to be expected behavior. As we see, the enablement of invalidating schedule is bind with the option of "Do not expire catch".
If the option didn't reset after deleting the selected schedule, by default the first one in alphabetical order list will be set automatically which would bring the more serious issue.
