This article describes an issue that occurs where the parent attribute elements are seen as repeated/duplicated in the grid when run in presentation mode in a Report Service Document despite the “Merge Row Header” setting being enabled in MicroStrategy Web.

SYMPTOM
The below Report Service Document run in presentation mode in Strategy Web, shows duplicate attribute elements on a row despite the “Merge Row Header” setting is enabled:

CAUSE
This is a known issue of Strategy Web 10.x. The Incremental Fetch Count causes the issue by “Individual rows - Rows per page” document properties grid setting.
ACTION
Currently, this issue is being reviewed by Strategy for a potential code fix on an upcoming Strategy release. 
WORKAROUND
Un-check the Incremental Fetch in Grid check-box to disable Incremental Fetch, or increase the number of “Rows per page.”
