This Knowledge Base article describes how some users may experience all schedules listed to be selected when trying to create schedule despite the fact the 'Only allow users to subscribe to schedules in the list below' was selected in MicroStrategy Web.

SYMPTOM
When setting the option 'Only allow users to subscribe to schedules in the list below' in Strategy Web, some users may find that the list of available schedules in Web still contain all schedules on the project level.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
In tutortrial:
1. Create an intelligent in Web with the table LU_CATEGORY. 
2. In Web, navigate to Preferences > Project Defaults > Schedule. 
3. Select 'Only allow users to subscribe to schedules in the list below' and select First of Month. 
4. Click Save. 
5. Right-click on the cube published in Step 1 and click 'Schedule'. 
6. Expand the schedule dropdown. Notice all the schedules for the project are visible. 
7. Select 'Books Closed' and save. 
8. Modify the CATEGORY_DESC column in Tutorial Data. 
9. Trigger the 'Books Closed' event in Developer. 
10. Create a report based on the cube. Notice the data is not updated. 
11. If add Books Closed schedule to project schedules and trigger event, data is now updated.
ACTION
This issue was reviewed by our Technology team for feasibility and will not be scoped for a code fix in any upcoming Strategy release.
