KB440205: Thresholds for derived metric cannot be properly applied if the condition is based on a cube base attribute in MicroStrategy Web 10.10

Diqing Shen

Senior Manager, Cloud Support • MicroStrategy

Starting with the release of Strategy ONE (March 2024), dossiers are also known as dashboards.
SYMPTOM:
In Strategy Web 10.10, when the "Defect fixes may impact Data, SQL, MDX, CSI" is turned to "On" under Web preferences > Project Default, thresholds for derived metric cannot be properly applied if the condition is based on a cube base attribute.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
Follow the steps below to reproduce the issue in Tutorial project:
1. Create a standalone derived metric with definition 'Sum(Cost){~+, Year+}'
2. Create an intelligent cube with Call Center, Quarter and the derived metric
3. Publish the cube and create a Dossier based on the cube

4. Save thresholds definition before proceeding to the Advanced Thresholds Editor
5. New Threshold with condition Quarter DESC contains Q2, move the new threshold condition to top Tap OK to apply
