This knowledge base article describes an issue that has been classified as a defect by MicroStrategy. In MicroStrategy Secure Enterprise 10.x Enterprise Manager table IS_DOC_FACT, values are higher in IS_DOC_EXEC_ST_TS (timestamp of the execution start.) in comparison with IS_DOC_EXEC_FN_TS (timestamp of the execution finish).

SYMPTOM
Users may notice that the Enterprise Manager table IS_DOC_FACT has entries where the value of IS_DOC_EXEC_ST_TS is higher than the value of IS_DOC_EXEC_FN_TS as shown below

As the definition of these columns is as follows, the values look incorrect.

  • IS_DOC_EXEC_ST_TS  - Timestamp of the execution start.
  • IS_DOC_EXEC_FN_TS  - Timestamp of the execution finish.

The value of  IS_DOC_EXEC_FN_TS is calculated as [REQUESTRECTIME] + [FINISHTIME] from IS_DOCUMENT_STATS. When this issue is present, the value of FINISHTIME in millisecond is “-1”, and this is resulting in these unexpected values.
