Starting with the release of Strategy ONE (March 2024), dossiers are also known as dashboards.
SUMMARY
This technical note describes a known issue In Strategy Desktop 10.10 when resizing the Visualization Gallery panel of a Dossier. After adjusting the size of the Visualization Gallery panel, saving the Dossier and closing out of Desktop, the size of the Visualization Gallery panel reverts back to the default size after reopening Strategy Desktop.
SYMPTOM
When a user attempts to resize the Visualization Gallery panel of a Dossier in Strategy Desktop by dragging the arrow on the left of the panel and setting it to be one column instead of the default three, after saving and closing the Dossier and reopening Strategy Desktop the Visualization Gallery panel reverts back to the original size of 3 columns wide.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1) Visualization Gallery Panel starting state on right-hand side of Desktop is 3 columns wide.
2) Re-size the Visualization Gallery Panel by dragging the left of the panel so it is now one column wide.
3) Close and reopen Strategy Desktop & the Visualization Gallery Panel reverts back to the default state of 3 columns wide.
CAUSE
This is an identified defect in Strategy Desktop 10.10 with the size of the Visualization Gallery Panel not being saved after closing and reopening Desktop.
ACTION
Currently, this issue is being reviewed by Strategy for a potential code fix in an upcoming Strategy release. Contact Strategy Technical Support for the latest update on this issue.
