KB440657: Subtotal values become Null when Metric limit is applied

Starting with the release of Strategy ONE (March 2024), dossiers are also known as dashboards.
Symptom:
Subtotal values become Null when Metric limit is applied to the grid. This is specific to using subtotals with the subtotals from base option utilized.
 
Steps to Reproduce

• Create report with Category, Country, and Cost
  

• Create Dashboard/Dossier based on this report.
  

• Create derived metric with definition of Min(Cost) with Subtotal From Base enabled
  

• Put this derived metric in the grid, enable subtotals, and put Cost metric into filter panel
  

• Adjust the Filter slider of the cost metric and notice that all subtotal values for the derived metric turn to NULLs.
  

Cause:
This is a known defect that has been identified in Strategy version 10.10 and lower.
 
Action:
Upgrade to Strategy 10.11, Strategy 10.4.7 or higher to take advantage of this fix.
