KB440892: When the SessionID cookie is present, and a user tries to Import data in MicroStrategy Web 10.9 and above, the error “Java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string xxxx” will show.

SYMPTOM:
When using trusted authentication, if the provider passes a cookie called SessionID, when a user tries to import data in Strategy Web 10.9 and above, the error “Java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string xxxx” will show.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

1. Login Strategy Web and select Add External Data.

1. If the SessionID cookie is present in the cookies (this can be verified by using a Fiddler trace and going to the Cookies tab, as illustrated below), the error will show.

 
CAUSE:
This is a known issue in Strategy Web 10.9 – 10.11.
 
ACTION:
This issue has been fixed in a later version of Strategy Web. Strategy will continue to investigate and post updates as soon as they are available.
