KB441071: Advanced options for recipients are missing when creating a subscription in MicroStrategy Distribution Servers 10.x

SUMMARY
This knowledge base article describes a scenario in which the advanced options for recipient permissions do not show up when creating subscriptions in Strategy Distribution Services 10.x.
SYMPTOM
When creating a file, email or history list subscription in Strategy 10.x, the following advanced options are missing: 

Allow recipients to change delivery settings

Allow recipients to change personalization

Allow recipients to unsubscribe

CAUSE
The recipient permission options do not show up under 'Advanced Options' when the user creating the subscription is the only recipient specified in the 'To:' field or if the recipients listed in the 'To:' field are added as addresses. The recipient permissions do not apply to stand alone addresses. 
ACTION
In order to see the advanced options, a Strategy contact or user other than the subscriber must be added to the 'To:' field as per the following screenshot:
