The REST API server is the component of Library that takes in REST API commands to interface with other REST enabled Strategy products and the Intelligence Server. By default, the log is set to only output errors, but changing the output to display more debugging output is recommended for most environments.
To enable more granular REST API logs:
1. Navigate to the Strategy Library directory and go to WEB-INF/classes.
2. Open the logback.xml file.
3. Change every instance of the word "ERROR" with the word "FINE" (note: these are case sensitive).
The file should appear as the following once complete:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<configuration>
<!-- Specify path to log file here. Path can be a relative (ex. logs) or an absolute path (ex. /tmp/logs).
If relative path is provided, this path would be relative to where JEE application server (ex. tomcat) is launched from -->
