The following knowledge base article discusses the different service names available through MSTRCtl in MicroStrategy Secure Enterprise 10.11

Overview

The Strategy Server Control Utility(mstrctl on Linux and MSTRCtl.exe on Windows) is a command line utility which can be used to monitor/start/stop and certain service configuration parameters. An overview of this utility is available in the following knowledge base article:
KB10941: What is the MSTRCtl utility and how is it used in Strategy Intelligence Server 9.x - 10.x
As Strategy continues to add additional micro-services this utility can be used to administer them. The following is a list of the current services available in Strategy 10.11 and its short description:

  • EMService - Enterprise Manager Dataloader service.
  • IntelligenceServer - Strategy Intelligence Server.
  • Listener - Strategy Listener process.
  • PDFExportService - Strategy PDF Export Service (since 10.6)
  • MongoDB - MongoDB Service (since 10.9)
  • CollaborationService - Strategy Collaboration Server (since 10.9)

Users can see all services on the local or a remote machine with the following command (requires Listener to be running):

./mstrctl -m <machine> ls

eg;

./mstrctl -m localhost ls
