Yefang Zhou

Sample Code/Error:

Application Error

An error occurred within the application. Please contact Administrator.

Steps to reproduce

  1. From Strategy Web, browse to/find a dossier which is not in your Library.
  2. Right mouse-click on the dossier.
  3. From the context menu, click Share.
  4. From the share window, click on 'Library link' and click on the 'Launch' button.
  5. After opening the dossier in Library, click the 'Add to Library' button on the top right.
  6. The error message appears.

Why is this happening?

One possible root cause for this behavior has been identified to be the existence of a duplicate profile for the user encountering this error. If that is the case, the duplicate profile can be seen when reviewing this error in the DSSErrors.log.

Solution

If it is verified through the DSSErrors.log file that there is a duplicate user profile, this issue can be resolved by deleting the duplicate user profile that is not in use. After doing so, the affected user(s) will be able to add dossiers into their Library.
