Starting with the release of Strategy ONE (March 2024), dossiers are also known as dashboards.

Description

The Strategy user is not able to open an In-Memory Cube-based Dossier that is being opened from Library. Though the users experiences difficulty opening the dossier in Library, the same Dossier will open in Strategy Web.. The error message reads as printed below:
"Server Error
Sorry, an error occurred because one or more datasets are not loaded for this item. Please contact your Administrator.”
This error message appears for different users and is not reproduced consistently.

Steps to reproduce

1. Create a Dossier based on an In-Memory Cube of your choosing.
2. Ensure the Dossier will open in Strategy Web.
3. Get a Library link from the Share option to open the Dossier in Library.
4. Use the link to open the Dossier in Library.
5. Notice the error message that is printed above.

Why is this happening?

The error message that has been specified above is caused by the Library user session being created on a different node than the one that has the Cube data loaded. With the two different nodes, the message about datasets not being loaded will be displayed.

Solution

Ensure that the In-Memory Cubes are loaded on all nodes to avoid this or similar error messages from surfacing. Users can also verify the node that  the user session has been created on with the use of the Developer’s User Connections Monitor.
