KB441944: Font with outline/halo effect when exporting a Dossier to PDF

Starting with the release of Strategy ONE (March 2024), dossiers are also known as dashboards.
SYMPTOM
An end user exports a Dossier to PDF but sees an outline/halo effect with the font that is not there on the Dossier itself.
E.g. of a Dossier exported to PDF showing the issue:

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. Create a Dossier in Strategy Web.
2. Export the Dossier to PDF
3. Refer image in the section above to see the issue

CAUSE
This is working as designed in Strategy Web. How the fonts are displayed in the PDF is controlled by the PDF Viewer that is being used.
WORKAROUND
For Adobe Acrobat Reader DC as an example, the issue can be fixed by turning off the setting Edit -> Preferences -> Page Display -> Enhance thin lines.
Similar settings can be found in other PDF Viewers.
