Steps to install the Driver
To install the Aster ODBC driver (version 5.10 or 6.0), follow the steps below:
1. Obtain the 32-bit "Aster ODBC Driver" for Linux version 5.10 or 6.0 directly from Aster.
2. Extract the driver files on the Linux system that will host the Strategy Intelligence Server
3. Modify the ODBC.sh file where the ASTER_PATH is and set it to the driver location. For example:
ASTER_PATH=/home/aster_odbc/stage/clients-odbc-linux32/Libs
Note: Aster path can be any location where the files are extracted. For the remainder of this exaple, the above location will be used.
4. Modify the odbcinst.ini file to include:

Driver=/home/aster_odbc/stage/clients-odbc-linux32/DataDirect/lib/libAsterDriver.so

5. Add the DSN into the odbc.ini file by entering the following:

6. Copy aster.ini to the home folder of user running Strategy (/root) and modify it to look like the example below:

7. Rename the file ‘aster.ini’ to ‘.aster.ini’.
