SUMMARY
Users hit a row limit of 400000 rows for projects created pre Strategy 10.2 and a row limit of 1 million rows for projects created post Strategy 10.2. This affects Data Connectors and REST API.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE

CAUSE
There is a governing setting that is not exposed in the GUI. For projects created pre Strategy 10.2 limit is 400,000. In other words, Rows x Columns will not exceed 400,000.
For projects created post Strategy 10.2, the setting for maximum number of nodes for visualizations is set to 1 million. This setting cannot be changed out of the box.
WORKAROUNDS
*NOTE: THE WORKAROUNDS MAY CAUSE PERFORMANCE ISSUES DUE TO INCREASED AMOUNT OF DATA BEING RETURNED. THIS WILL ALSO AFFECT
1. In Strategy 10.11, 11.0, 10.4.6, 10.4.7, and 10.4.8, a setting called “maximum number of nodes for visualizations” can be exposed and changed in Strategy Developer by adding a registry key setting. Once this registry key is added, the setting for “maximum number of nodes for visualizations” will be exposed in Strategy Developer.
Instructions on how to add the registry key:

If using Strategy 10.10:

*Note: you can have a higher version Intelligence server pointed to a lower version of Developer (e.g 10.4.7 Developer machine pointing to a 10.10 I-server.)
2. Using the Intelligence Server SDK you can modify the Maximum number of nodes for visualizations. See the following KB article explaining this method:
