The MicroStrategy Web logs do not record the user name of the user that attempts to log in when their account is disabled in MicroStrategy Web.

SYMPTOM:
After attempting to log into Strategy Web 9.3.0 with a user that has been disabled by the administrator, the error message below appears as expected.

Sample Code/Error
Error in login
"This account has been disabled by the Administrator."

However, in the Strategy Web logs, the username is not listed, like shown below.

This prevents the administrator from identifying who with a disabled account tried to log in.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. In Strategy Desktop 9.3.0, go to the User Manager, and disable a user account.
  2. Try to log into Strategy Web 9.3.0 using the credentials for that same user, and the error message will appear.
  3. Go to the Strategy Web logs and under the field with the same error message, there is no username listed.

CAUSE:
This is an identified defect and has been logged to our Technology team.

ACTION:
Currently this issue is still being reviewed for feasibility by our Technology team and is not scoped for any upcoming scheduled Strategy release.
