• Strategy

This article outlines how to clear the WebSphere Application Server caches related to MicroStrategy Web.

In the IBM WebSphere Application Server, cache and temporary files related to Strategy Web 9.4.1 and above are stored in two main locations:

IBM\WebSphere\appserver\profiles\<app server profile>\temp\<node>\<app server>\Strategy

IBM\WebSphere\appserver\profiles\<app server profile>\wstemp\

The 'wstemp' directory contains information regarding temporary user session information for the Application Server including administrator preferences. Only clear this folder if all the console configurations for the WebSphere's administrator user have been saved in the Master configuration.

Third Party Software Installation Warning:
The third-party product(s) discussed in this technical note are manufactured by vendors independent of Strategy. Strategy makes no warranty, express, implied or otherwise, regarding these products, including their performance or reliability.
