KB44813: New LDAP Environment variables introudced in MicroStrategy 9.2.1 Hotfix 7 and newer.

Starting in Strategy 9.2.1 Hotfix 7 and newer releases the following environmental variables have been added to more finely tune the behavior of LDAP integration with regards to paging and linking.
 
MSTR_LDAP_SEARCH_LIMIT

• Environment variable to control LDAP Paging
• Default value is set to 1000.
• Can be set to 0 for unlimited.

​NOTE: LDAP search paging requires supports from both ldap client and ldap server. In addition to the environment setting of Intelligence Server, the administrator should set the page limit on LDAP server. 
MSI_LDAP_NO_LDAP_GROUP_TO_MSTR_USER

• Environment variable to control linking of LDAP groups to Strategy Metadata User objects.
• Default is set to 0 which is allow
• Can be set to 1 for disallow

MSI_LDAP_NO_LINK_TO_PREDEFINED

• Environment variable to control linking to predefined user objects(IE: Administrator Account)
• Default is 0 which is allow
• Can be set to 1 for disallow

 
All these variables can be modified in the <Strategy_HOME_PATH>/env/LDAP.sh file on Linux. In Windows environments the variables can be added under Computer > Properties > Advanced system settings > Environment Variables.
