KB44846: Prompt answers are not reused when re-prompting a workbook if the prompt is embedded with a filter in MicroStrategy Office 9.x

SYMPTOM:
 
Prompt answers are not reused when re-prompting a workbook if the prompt is embedded with a filter in MSTR Office 9.x
 
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
 
Follow the steps below to reproduce the issue in Strategy Tutorial project:

1. Create a filter with Year = 2011 then create an element list prompt with Month and use the Year filter to reduce the elements;
2. Create an element list prompt with Call Center;
3. Create a report 1 with Call Center, Month and Cost, add above 2 prompts in report filter, prompt order is Call Center, Month;
4. Create a report 2 with Call Center, Month and Cost, add above 2 prompts in report filter, prompt order is Month, Call center;
5. Run report 1 and 2 in Strategy Office, make sure "reuser prompt answers" option is checked;
6. Re-prompt the workbook, note that month prompt need to be answered twice, the prompt answers are not reused;

CAUSE:
 
This is a known issue in Strategy Office 9.x
 
ACTION:
 
Issue has been addressed in version 10. Please upgrade to a more recent version of Strategy in order to take advantage of this fix.
