KB45077: “An error occurred: Unknown Error” error appears when duplicating a stopped message in Alert CMS

“An error occurred: Unknown Error” error appears when duplicating a stopped message in Alert CMS.

SYMPTOM:
When a user attempts to save a duplicated message created from a stopped message in Alert CMS, the user receives the error: “An error occurred: Unknown Error” and Try Again or Close options.

CAUSE:
This is a known defect in the Alert CMS. The Alert CMS requires the begin or end time of the message to be the same as the message you initially stopped. However, it is not possible to set the same begin time for a message which was sent in the past.

WORKAROUND:
Change the end date or time to differ from the original message. For instance, if the message was initially set to end on 12/13/13 at 11:59 PM, change the end time to 12/13/13 at 11:58 PM.
