Grid on top of Panel Stack is clipped when exporting to HTML from MicroStrategy Web 9.3.1.

SYMPTOM:
 
Grid on top of Panel Stack is clipped when exporting to HTML from Strategy Web 9.3.1.
 
STEPS TO REPRODUCE: 
 

  1. Create a Document and insert Grid on top of Panel Stack as below:

  • In Design Mode, right click the Grid>Properties and Formatting. Under Layout Properties, set the Height as “Fit to Contents” and Grid Overflow (HTML) as “Scroll” as below:

  • Uncheck "Enable incremental fetch in grid" under Advanced properties.
  • Run the document in express mode, and all the data is shown using the scroll bar as below:

  • Export the document to HTML from Strategy Web, the grid is clipped and the scroll bar is not available as below:

CAUSE:
 
This is a known issue in Strategy Web 9.3.1.
 
ACTION:
 
Contact Strategy Technical Support for an update on the status of this issue.
 
WORKAROUND:
 
There are two possible workarounds as below: 
 

  • Export the document to HTML from Strategy Desktop and use scroll bar of the panel stack to show all the records as below:

  • Set the Height of the grid as “Fixed” under Grid>Properties and Formatting, and in the exported HTML file, the scroll bar of the grid is available to show all the data as below:
