How to configure the Simba MongoDB ODBC driver on Linux for connectivity to a MongoDB database.

Follow the steps below to configure the Simba MongoDB ODBC driver on Linux:

1. Install the Simba MongoDB ODBC files on the Linux system that will host the Strategy Intelligence Server.

2. Create a DSN to the MongoDB database by manually adding the following entry to the odbc.ini file (this file is located in the Home Directory of the Strategy installation on Linux):

  Simba MongoDB DSN 32=Simba MongoDB ODBC Driver 32-bit

Description=Simba MongoDB ODBC Driver(32-bit) DSN
Driver=/lib/32/libsimbamongodbodbc32.so
DriverUnicodeEncoding=2
Host=
Port=
Database=
DefaultStringColumnLength=255
RowsFetchedPerBlock=4096

3. Save and close the odbc.ini file.

4. Add the settings for environment variables by manually adding the following entry to the end of the /env/ODBC.sh file:

#
# ODBC Driver for Simba MongoDB
#
MONGODB_PATH=''

 if ; then
        export MONGODB_PATH

         SIMBAINI="${MONGODB_PATH:?}"/Setup/simba.mongodbodbc.ini
         export SIMBAINI

         mstr_append_path LD_LIBRARY_PATH "${MONGODB_PATH:?}"/lib/32
         export LD_LIBRARY_PATH
fi

5. Save and close the ODBC.sh file.

6. Open the “samba.mongodbodbc.ini” file located under: /Setup and modify the following two lines:

DriverManagerEncoding=UTF-8
ErrorMessagesPath=/ErrorMessages/
