KB45503: Importing data from a file in MicroStrategy Analytics Desktop 10.x

User can import data from files, such as an Excel spreadsheet or a text file directly into Strategy Analytics Desktop , to create dashboards .
1.  Import data from a file while creating a dashboard. The imported data is saved and can be used immediately in the dashboard.
2.  Import and save data from a file in a folder location. If desired, user can create a dashboard immediately from the imported data.
When user imports data into Strategy Analytics Desktop , the data is saved as Intelligent Cube.
The following file types can be used to import data:

• .xls
• .xlsx
• .txt
• .csv
• .json

Note: The maximum file size that can be imported is 100 MB.
