KB45529: "Access to the path 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\MicroStrategy\CubeAdvisorConfiguration.txt' is denied" error message returns when trying to complete an analysis in MicroStrategy Cube Advisor 9.x and 10.x

 

Access to the path 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\MicroStrategy\CubeAdvisorConfiguration.txt' is denied.

 
All of the reports execute during the Cube Advisor test, but users are not able to see the results of the analysis.
 
CAUSE:
 
Strategy Cube Advisor requires administrative rights in order to write to the appropriate file location.
 
ACTION:
 
When opening Strategy Cube Advisor, right click on the program and select "Run as Administrator."
