INTRODUCTION
The level of a derived metric in Visual Insight for Strategy Web 10.x can be changed in the metric editor
 
TO ADD A LEVEL
This example shows how to add a level to a derived metric in Visual Insight using a dataset found in the Strategy Tutorial project.

  • Create a Visual Insight report using the 'Supplier Sell-Through Analysis' report as the dataset located at Strategy Tutorial > Shared Reports > Subject Areas > Supplier Analysis > Supplier Sell-Through Analysis
  • Add the Year attribute into the row drop zone and add Profit and Revenue to the metric drop zone, like shown below:

  • Create a new metric with the formula "Sum(Revenue)".
  • Key in 'Category' between braces after the formula, as shown in the screenshot below. The derived metric is now set to the level of Category:
