KB45581: Justified Text Alignment switches to left alignment in MicroStrategy Mobile

Community Admin

• Strategy

This Knowledge Base article describes a known issue that justified Text Alignment switches to left alignment in MicroStrategy Mobile 9.4.0. MicroStrategy will continue to investigate and post updates as soon as they are available.

SYMPTOM:
In Strategy Web 9.4.0, the content of a text box can be justified aligned so that its content fills up the entire row, as shown in the leftmost text box below:

However when this same document is displayed in Strategy Mobile 9.4.0, the box with the justified alignment, loses it's formatting and left aligns the text as shown below.

CAUSE:
This is a known issue in Strategy Mobile 9.4.0. The text viewer in Strategy Mobile inherits its formatting properties from the UILabel, using the NSString attribute from iOS which does not support justified alignment, therefore Strategy Mobile 9.4.0 cannot display it this way.

ACTION:
Strategy will continue to investigate and post updates as soon as they are available.
