Changes made to the position of selectors in a filter panel are not applied in MicroStrategy Web 9.x

SYMPTOM:
When a user tries to change the positions of selectors in a filter panel using the keyboard arrow keys, the changes will not be applied in Express mode, Flash mode and exported Flash documents, in Strategy Web 9.x.

For instance, below, the Quarter selector has been manually moved under the Category selector.

However, after running the document, the Quarter selector is back above the Category selector, like shown below.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
Follow these steps to reproduce the issue in Strategy Tutorial Project:

  1. Create a report that use the Category and Quarter attributes and the Revenue metric.
  2. Use this report as dataset to create a document.
  3. Insert a filter panel into the detail header section.
  4. Insert two selectors into the filter panel. The source of the first one should be Quarter; the second one, Category.
  5. Use the keyboard's up and down arrow keys to adjust the relative position of the two selectors so that the Quarter selector appears below the Category selector.
  6. Go to express or flash mode, and observe that the Category selector is still on top of the Quarter one.
  7. Export it to flash, observe the same issue.

CAUSE:
This is a known issue in Strategy 9.x. The filter panel cannot detect the relative position changes made through keyboard manipulations.

ACTION:
Contact Strategy Technical Support for an update on this issue.

WORKAROUND:
Use the mouse to change the position of the selectors by dragging them so that the filter panel can detect their new positions.
