KB45653: User are unable to undo changes on a Report Services Document after exporting, printing or saving in MicroStrategy Web 9.4.1

MicroStrategy Web 9.4.1 users are unable to undo changes made on a Report Services Document after exporting, printing or saving.

SYMPTOM:
Strategy Web 9.4.1 users are unable to undo changes made on a Report Services Document after exporting, printing or saving.

CAUSE:
This is working as designed in Strategy Web 9.4.1. The undo stack is managed by the client's browser and will reset itself when the Strategy Web 9.4.1 server refreshes the document so that the user has access to the latest version. Exporting, printing and saving, among others, actions trigger this refresh causing the browser to lose track of the last action performed thus preventing the user from undoing that last action. A request has been logged to address this issue.

ACTION:
Contact Strategy Technical Support for an update on this issue.

WORKAROUND:
Keep multiple versions of the report services document as changes are made so that the users do not rely on the undo stack to revert back to previous versions.
